How to Apply

Applications for 2012 will be available as a pdf and as a Microsoft Word document so that applicants can choose if they would like to hand-write or type their applications.

Applications will be distributed to the local schools in April.

* YBGP applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 19 and complete the application, which includes a mini business plan and cash budget worksheet.

The plan asks applicants to prepare a simple cash budget, describe in detail their business idea and discuss their customer and market base. A panel reviews the plans and then meets with the applicants in an interview session.

Before receiving their grants, recipients and their parents sign a contract with the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation and are required to attend an orientation session. At the end of the summer they submit a final report detailing their experience.

The 2012 YBGP Application is available online.
All applicants must be available for an interview sometime in early June 2012.  Check back for specific dates as they are determinded.  All applicants must also be available for the Orientation Session
(mandatory for recipient and parent) also to be held in early June 2012 (date TBD).
